One thing, not twenty
From one ADHDer to another, let's make our lives better.
On my worst days a big to do list just made the storm louder. Twenty things staring back at me meant I did none of them.
What worked for me was starting with ONE thing. Just one. If there was room after that, maybe three. Everything else went into a brain dump so it was out of my head and on paper, and I could stop holding it all at once.
Some days still went sideways. So I started giving myself a restart instead of writing the whole day off. Same with the week. Life admin used to pile up until it buried me, and a simple weekly reset is what finally kept the bills, the forms and the food under control in our house.
None of this came from a textbook. These are pages I scribbled for myself, and they slowly turned into the planners, journal and cards in my shop. Everything in there is something I have used myself.
I am not going to tell you this is how you should do it. Every storm is different. This is just what helped mine, shared from one ADHDer to another.
We are not broken. We are built for storms.
My lived story. Not advice, not therapy, not medical guidance.
