This notice explains what personal data The ADHD Teacup collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. The ADHD Teacup, run by a sole trader in England, is the controller of your personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The way to contact me about anything in this notice is by email at hello@theadhdteacup.co.uk. A postal address for legal notices is available on request.
What I collect when you buy
Checkout is handled by Stripe on its own secure page. When you buy, Stripe collects:
- your name and email address
- your card or other payment details, which go straight to Stripe. I never see or store your full card number
- your billing country or address, where Stripe needs it to work out tax
- for clothing orders only: your UK delivery address and phone number, so the item can be made and posted to you
I can see your order details, name, email and, for clothing, your delivery address and phone number in my Stripe account. For digital downloads I also record that you ticked the box asking for your download straight away, with the date and time.
Email sign up
There is no email sign up on this site at the moment, so I do not collect email addresses for a mailing list. If I add one later, I will update this notice first and tell you who stores the list.
Download links
After payment you land on a private order page. It checks your payment with Stripe and gives you download links that are signed for your order and stop working after 24 hours. If a link runs out, open your order page again for a fresh one. The files are kept in private storage and can only be fetched through a valid link for a paid order.
If you email me, I use your email address and what you write to reply and to help with your order.
Etsy
Some pages link to my Etsy shop. If you buy on Etsy, Etsy collects your details under its own privacy policy and I receive what Etsy shares with sellers to fulfil your order.
Why I use your data
To take payment, deliver your download or clothing order and handle refunds (lawful basis: contract).
To keep tax and accounting records (lawful basis: legal obligation).
To reply when you contact me (lawful basis: legitimate interests in answering you).
I do not sell your data and I do not use it for advertising.
Who I share it with
- Stripe, for payments, receipts and tax
- Vercel, which hosts this website, stores the download files and provides the cookieless, anonymous visit stats (Vercel Web Analytics)
- my print on demand partner, for clothing orders only, so your item can be made and posted
- Google Fonts, which supplies the Comic Neue font. Your browser asks Google for the font, which means Google sees your IP address
- Fasthosts, my email provider for hello@theadhdteacup.co.uk, only if you email me
Some of these companies may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as UK approved contract terms.
Cookies
This site does not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. I use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits, which is cookieless and anonymous, so it shows me page views and rough totals without identifying you. The site itself sets no cookies. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout page that are needed for secure payment and fraud prevention. Because those are strictly necessary, no cookie banner is needed. Vercel, as the host, may keep short term technical logs such as IP addresses to keep the site running and secure.
How long I keep it
Order records are kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because HMRC requires it. Emails are deleted when they are no longer needed for your order or question.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it or delete it, ask me to limit how I use it, object to how I use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@theadhdteacup.co.uk and I will reply within one month.
If you are not happy with how I have handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
Changes
If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
